Welcome to EFAC!

EFAC, the French-American School of Chicago offers the French Ministry of National Education’s scholastic program, integrated within the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system. The school covers all levels from Kindergarten to 12th grade (with certification through the French level CM2 and the opportunity to take the French section of the French Baccalauréat). EFAC is located in the dynamic and family-oriented Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Integrated into the public school of Abraham Lincoln Elementary (from Kindergarten to the 8th grade) and Lincoln Park High School (from the 9th to the 12th grades), EFAC brings the excellence of a bi-cultural education in French and English, and represents the diversity of our society today.

Launched over thirty years ago, EFAC is a not-for-profit association whose members are parents of active students. The program is certified by the Ministry of National Education, affiliated with the Mission Laïque Française (MLF) and a member of the Association des Écoles Françaises d’Amérique du Nord (AFSA).
