EFAC is an educational and non-profit association established in 1979 under the laws of the State of Illinois. Its articles are filed with the Secretary of State of Illinois in Springfield.
The school receives no external financial support (whether from the French government or elsewhere): it is funded by tuition, fundraising and is managed by the Director and a School Board consisting of elected parents. The Board is elected every two years at the General Assembly held in September.
