EFAC Admission Guide
Application Timeline: For admissions in August 2025
- October 1st: Online application open
- There is a non refundable $150 application fee to be paid upon submitting the online application.
- December 31st: Application due

- January/February: Individual observation/French Proficiency Test
NB: We only evaluate students who can be enrolled based on availability.
- March 5th: Re-Enrollment deadline for current EFAC Families.
- March/April 2025: New student acceptance notification

Who can apply?:
- Kindergarten candidates must be 5 years old by September 1 of the entry year.
- Grade 1 candidates must be 6 years old by September 1 of the entry year.
- All other grades must meet age requirements for their grade level.
- Residency: Must reside within Abraham Lincoln Elementary School boundaries (K to Y8) or within Lincoln Park High School Boundaries (Y9 to Y12)
- All students must be registered at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School (K to Y8) or Lincoln Park High School (Y9 to Y12) at back to school day.
- Admission process to ALES and LPHS is separate from EFAC.
- French Proficiency: Students are required to have fluency in French corresponding to their grade level (to be assessed).
- It is also essential that students are supported by a fluent French-speaking person at home.
- English Fluency: Not required. EFAC, with our partners’ schools, supports English learning through immersion and a special 3-year program for non-English speakers.
Admission Priority Order (when eligibility criteria are met):
- Siblings of students already enrolled and children of EFAC Teachers
- Families of Lincoln (ALES or LPHS) currently enrolled and previously registered with EFAC (waitlist).
- New Families, based on meeting all requirements and space availability in the desired grade.
EFAC reserves the right to request additional information, supporting documents and a face-to-face interview for all applicants, regardless of academic level. EFAC, as an independent private school, reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, the admission of students based on its evaluation criteria, its pedagogical values, and its mission, in compliance with applicable non-discrimination laws.
