EFAC’s calendar follows the same as Chicago Public Schools for the “R”, or regular schedule.
Generally the school year starts beginning of September and finishes mid June.
Major Vacations are:
- ThanksGiving week-end that starts the third Thursday of November
- two weeks for Christmas
- one week for Spring Break
In addition, there are some Holidays that enable the children to enjoy a nice break, for instance: Labor Day early September, Memorial Day end of May. Please refer to the Chicago Public School calendar for all the Holidays of each year.
There are also several Teacher Development Days, and report pick-up cards days that will be additional days off to enable our children to rest.
There are also several special events, school tradition events or field trips (refer to detailed calendars of EFAC, ALES or LPHS) throughout the school year.
