Constitution and role

The School Board consists of five members elected every two years during the annual General Assembly of parents of active students in September. With the Director, the School Board is the executive body of the EFAC. It meets once a month, usually the first Monday, at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. Also attending the monthly meeting:

  • The principal of Abraham Lincoln Elementary School
  • The coordinator of the International Baccalaureate or IB program at Lincoln Park High School who also represents the LPHS administration
  • The cultural deputy-attaché of the French consulate

Meetings are public and EFAC parents are invited to speak in an early section of the standing agenda.

The Board is the decision-making body of EFAC and has direct management responsibility. It defines the budget and makes decisions on major areas of school management. Pedagogical issues are handled by the School Council.

Management Report

Minutes of each School Board meeting are approved in English at the following Board meeting. Once approved, they are then, as required by law, deposited in a workbook from the Library of Lincoln School.

The minutes are also published in EFAC’s monthly newsletter, EFAChronique, and are therefore available in the Communication section of this site.
