Subjects are more specialized in middle school. Students take lessons in French language, literature, history, geography and civics. Students also participate in artistic and cultural projects in collaboration with other French schools around the world. The number of hours spent in French is adjusted to reflect the reduced number of disciplines.

All students are enrolled in the CNED (National Center for Distance Learning) for all subjects. The day is divided into a first hour of a common middle-school class in French and another class later in the day for the specific grade level, for a total of 10 hours in French per week under the direction of a qualified teacher who is associated with the French Ministry of Education.
